The Royal Wind Music and De Muziekschool Twente co-produce a workshop and concert in Almelo.

On the 22nd of January 2012 the famous Royal Wind Music recorder ensemble will visit De Muziekschool Twente. During the day various activities are organised focussed on the recorder. Workshops will be given by teachers of the school as well as members of the Royal Wind Music. At 17h00 The Royal Wind Music will perform a their concert programme Sweete Musicke of Sundrie Kindes.


The Royal Wind Music perform on a collection of instruments made by Adriana Breukink and Bob Marvin that range from the twelve-inch sopranino to the sub-contrabass measuring over ten feet. The thirteen members of the ensemble, originally from Austria, Germany, Hungary, The Netherlands, Portugal, South Korea, Spain and the United Kingdom, all studied at the Amsterdam Conservatoire.

Also on the programme is a work by Giovanni Gabrieli that has been arranged especially for this occasion so that The Royal Wind Music and members of the Esito Ensemble of De Muziekschool Twente can perform together.
